Neuromuscular Massage Therapy

The focus of this therapy is to seek out the cause of the client's pain, by creating a balance between the muscular and nervous systems, and to bring balance within the body itself. Neuromuscular bodywork focuses on five basic principles--biomechanics, ischemias, trigger points, postural distortion, and nerve entrapment or compression.

Helps with:

  • Disc herniation
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Whiplash
  • Neck pain
  • Chronic headaches
  • Chronic muscle pain
  • Thoracic outlet syndrome
  • Sport related injury
  • Sciatica

TMJ Therapy

TMJ pain treatment is applied to the musculature surrounding the tempero-mandibular joint of the jaw, also know as the TMJ, along with the neck and face muscles.

A portion of these sessions are done with the therapist wearing medical vinyl gloves and working on the muscles within the client's mouth. This is a very effective treatment for the pain, stiffness and headaches that are often present with TMJ dysfunction and injury.

Deep Tissue Massage

A technique that releases chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep firm pressure. Unlike classic Swedish Massage Therapy, which is used primarily for relaxation, deep tissue massage focuses on specific problems.

Helps with:

  • Chronic pain
  • Limited mobility
  • Recovery from injuries
  • Postural problems
  • Shoulder pain
  • Back pain

Pregnancy Massage

In the prenatal period, specific massage techniques can reduce pregnancy discomforts and concerns, and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and baby. In the postpartum period, specialized techniques re-balance structure, physiology, and emotions of the new mother.

If you are experiencing low back pain, swelling of the hands and feet, headaches, sciatic pain, muscle spasms or muscle cramps, pregnancy massage can help. Regular pregnancy massage visits are extremely therapeutic as your body changes.

Helps with:

  • Joint pain/swelling
  • Heaches & migraines
  • Stress

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage Therapy is the traditional form of massage. If you desire the ultimate in relaxation and rejuvenation, Swedish Massage is choice. The many benefits of Swedish Massage include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, improved circulation, reduced swelling from injury, flushing of toxins from the body and reduced anxiety.

Helps with:

  • Joint pain/swelling
  • Muscle tension & tightness
  • Stress
  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia

Hot Stone Massage

Massage is given with the enhancement of heated smooth basalt stones, to increase circulation and loosen muscle tension. The heated stones with the therapist's flowing movements bring you into the ultimate state of relaxation by using them as an extension of his/her hands to massage the body. The stones can also be used as placement stones, laying on top of areas holding tension. The heat deeply penetrates the muscles, and can allow for deeper work to be performed . Often seen as a form of energy work, the stones are very therapeutic, carrying their own vibrations and allowing for an extremely relaxing massage session.
